Information & Pricing
CEMETS participants apply as teams representing diverse points of view in the following groups:
- Policy decision-makers in education, labor, workforce, and VET;
- Leaders of business and industry from companies, industry organizations, and sector associations;
- VET-related leaders from NGOs, foundations, development partners, and intermediaries.
CEMETS aims to provide participants with the opportunity to learn about their own and other reform projects in the field of VET. The CEMETS Institute should enable participants to learn from thought leaders and empirical research, generate solutions and strategies for their own projects, exchange experiences, and network.
- We welcome education reform leaders, those with senior positions in labor market-oriented career and technical education systems, and reform leaders or decision-makers from foundations with a focus on education, apprenticeship, and/or school-to-work transitions.
- Teams should be 3-10 (more if virtual-only) people from all relevant groups, and should balance education- and employment-system actors. Individual team members should be in leadership roles so they can develop and lead implementation of new strategies, but should be directly related to VET.
- We've found that the composition of the reform team is one of the most important factors for the success of the reform and the positive impact of the CEMETS Institute. Reform teams should be composed of high-level leaders representing both education and industry (employers, industry associations, workforce development, etc.). There should be at least one person in a position to lead the reform toward a vision for the best system in your case. Ideally, teams should comprise at least three or four people to maximize teamwork time at the institute and insulate against personnel turnover.
- Participation costs 8,000 CHF per person. This includes the course fee, hotels, food, and local transportation during the institute (Sunday-Saturday). It does not include travel to and from Zurich.
- CEMETS will issue an invoice to each team in CHF. The invoice contains instructions for various payment methods including bank transfer and credit card.
- Separate invoices for different team members are available upon request if they are requested by March 1.
- Invoices in USD are available upon request. Invoices in USD will use exchange rates as of March 1.
- Cancellations must be submitted via fax or e-mail.
- Full refunds will be given up to 30 days after registration, but no later than May 1.
- Due to pre-course preparations, cancellations received after May 1 are subject to a fee of 60% of the course fee.
- No-shows and cancellations received after May 1 are subject to the full course fee.
